About the Blog

Hi my name is Jordan Garth and I am from Orange County in Southern California. Most people who live near or in Orange County refer to it as the "Orange County Bubble". It wasn't until I started traveling that I really understood the meaning behind that name. There is a completely different world outside of Southern California and more specifically Orange County. I live in a vacation destination, where the sun is a constant reminder that life is good. Although it is not true that life is always easy and perfect for people who live in our beautiful oasis, it is a fact that there is a bigger world filled with unimaginable struggles that are hard to see in our little bubble. There are also many beautiful wonders beyond California's warm beaches that are hard to really appreciate without seeing them first hand. I titled this blog "Beyond the Bubble" because after traveling for a few years now, I have found that no matter what city you come from, you too live in a bubble, a small corner of a much bigger world. I have had the privilege of meeting some of the nicest people, staying in some of the cutest air bnbs or luxurious hotels, seeing some of the most beautiful man made and natural places, eating some of the tastiest meals and treats, and drinking some of the most delicious coffee this world has to offer. I hope this blog encourages you to travel outside your own little bubble as it inspires me to do the same. 

I do a lot of traveling and I have done for awhile now. Whenever I travel to new places, I always try and find the best recommendations beforehand so I know how to maximize time and see the best of what each city has to offer. That is why I created this blog. I have never been the most creative, but I feel that I have a lot to say and share about the places that I have been. I am not a photographer. I typically don't carry a camera with me when I travel because they are large and inconvenient and are the first sign of tourism, which is not how I want to come off as I travel mostly by myself. Therefore, my photos on this blog will not be high end quality pictures. But, that is not the point of this blog. The point is that there are some amazing places out there that I think everyone should try and visit. Besides, if I gave you amazing shots of every place you would have no reason to go out and see them for yourself.
